I have to go to traffic court tomorrow… to fight a silly ticket. Long story short: Re-registered my car at the DMV. Got pulled over a week later, cop said my car was un-registered… showed him my new registration card… OH WAIT! It wasn’t the registration for my car! The stupid person at the DMV typed in my plate numbers wrong and I updated and paid for someone else’s. Cop gave me a ticket and told me if I went to court, he would wave it. I went to court, they told me I had to pay it. So then I had to wait over an hour to pay it so I just left. Stupid, I know. Anyway, I have to go back tomorrow and do it all over again. If I had known all this, I would have just paid the ticket and wrote a nasty letter that would have just been ignored but would make me feel better anyway to the DMV.

That story wasn’t so short. Sorry, I’m bad at keeping things short.

So after today, I am so syked to sit and wait tomorrow! ALONE! Last time I wasn’t too happy. I thought it was going to be in and out, so I didn’t leave any bottles for Jack. For some silly reason I thought traffic court was, you walk in, say ‘Hi, I have a 2pm appointment?’ and a nice lady would direct you to a room, where the cop would be waiting with a smile, wave the ticket, and I’d be out 20 minutes later. Yeah, its not. They cattle you from one room to the next treating you like trash (to be fair, most of the people in line around me were drunk drivers, boasting about how smashed they were when they got pulled over.. so I can kinda understand).

Tomorrow, WOO! I know what I am in for, and I have a book (Bloodsucking Feinds: A Love Story by Christopher Moore) , I bought Jack a bottle of formula (sorry baby, mommy hates pumping) and I am just looking forward to time alone (sorry leeners).

Today was an annoying day. Katherine spilled water on the cable box and fried it out, no more TV. So I had nothing to distract her with to get stuff done. Granted, it was in the low 70s out, we went for a long walk in the morning, another walk in the afternoon and out for ice cream, spent a good period of time sitting on our porch drinking wine/apple juice.. but when you are running on no sleep its hard to keep the fun going. After dinner is bath time, but today was weird, b/c the bay (our house is on stilts, over water) was getting pretty high, and I wasn’t sure if it was going to spill over and flood the street or not. I ended up waisting alot of time trying to decide if I should strap both of them into their car seats and move the car two blocks up, or just wait, in case it didn’t flood… but I was running too close to bed time and the animals where getting nuts. Finally I just decided to give them their bath, and wouldn’t you know it, by the time I got Jack out, it was starting to flood. At least I cut his bath short, he was too pissy, and he and Kath were fighting over a stupid duck that neither of them actually wanted, they just didn’t want the other to have it.

I had to hurry and nurse him, then put him to bed. Got a crying Katherine out, promised her when I got back she could go back in (she likes to swim around for a while). I wrapped her up in a towel on the living room floor and put a Bob the Builder DVD on and ran out to move the car. By the time I got back, she was sleeping. She is actually still there now, I just don’t have the energy to get her up, dressed, and put her back to sleep.

So looking forward to traffic court tomorrow. I just went back and re-read this and was debating wiether or not to hit the ‘publish’ button b/c it makes me sound like such a loser. Then I remembered that the only two people who read this already know I’m a loser.

Then a voice came on saying that with three kids, this lady never has time to not look stanky. Never has time to do her hair or into clothes that aren’t made out of t-shirt material.

Two kids are enough.

but to be honest, we all know I am much too vain to actually leave the house looking like a hot mess. Right? Did you know that?? Can you tell?? I actually do try to look nice when I leave the house. If you can tell, thanks! And to everyone else who is reading that with a confused look on their face saying ‘what? really?!’, well you can kiss my yoga pants!

today is the first day of spring, finally! But it is still cold and windy outside. I need hot air. Yesterday I decided to take a walk. by myself! The kids were napping and Rick was home, so I grabbed my ipod.. ya know, the one I bought in hopes of using at the gym to work off the baby weight….. that I’ve used once. Once when I was going to walk to wawa to get ice cream, but then got outside and it was too cold.. so I drove.. but I still wore my ipod!

Anyway, I decided to walk on the boardwalk to Atlantic City.. about 2 miles round trip, I would say. Maybe a little more. The walk there was nice. I just enjoy being alone sometimes. I am kicking myself that I didn’t bring my camera, the ocean was super rough. I don’t like being on the beach by myself when it is like that, what if a huge wave comes and pulls me out to sea? But would it be less scary if the beach was full of people? Yes, b/c then maybe someone would grab me and carry me to a safe spot. Maybe.

The boardwalk was empty b/c it was cold and overcast. No old people like usual. They love to walk next to me and talk to the kids. I swear, old people are always in my way, walking slow as hellz in front of me at grocery stores and what not, but they see me on the boardwalk with little kids and they practically run to catch up and pinch cheeks.

So anyway, I walked all the way to Jackson Ave, which marks the city limit for Ventnor and the start of Atlantic City, and I pulled a u-turn to walk home.. and it started to rain! It was gross and cold. I’m not the running type, so I just walked. At least I was alone with no one tugging on me saying they have to go pee pee!!

Right now I am making dinner. Mac and Cheese with tomatoes and asparagus. This will bother me later on when Katherine falls asleep and fills her night time diaper with that lovely stench that is asparagus peepee. fun times! And it is ok that I am serving Kath mac and cheese from a box, b/c its organic and cost twice the amount of the regular stuff.. so I feel less guilty?! I can’t cook, I don’t even feel like trying.

We finally got new furniture at our house today. I didn’t realize how frustrating it is to have nice stuff with kids! All Katherine wants to do is jump and run on the couch naked, and touch everything with greasy grilled cheese hands.
